This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: Conducts scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and periodic inspections on all pneudraulically operated systems on/off aircraft in accordance with established procedures.
- →DUTY 2: Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated pneudraulic systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment.
- →Utilizes portable and bench test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- →DUTY 3: Performs off-equipment maintenance and bench checks to support the repair cycle.
- →DUTY 4: Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work area.
- →DUTY 5: Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military.
