What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Using knowledge of a variety of legal regulations, precedents, and practices; examining, preparing, and processing technical legal correspondence and documents which are characteristically voluminous and complex in format.
- →Preparing legal actions and documentation such as garnishments, subpoenas, financial disclosure statements, Citations to Discover Assets, and satisfactions of judgement.
- →Completing variable aspects of recurring legal documents in conformance with the rules governing their style and format.
- →Cross-checking the accuracy of payment transactions with Court records and documents.
- →Identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
- →Identifying and recommending methods to improve the timeliness and accuracy of data in both USAO and Court debtor records.
- →Interpreting and enforcing judgments in criminal cases and independently performs all functions to collect amounts imposed as a result of the prosecution of criminal cases.
- →Knowledge of web-based legal resources and platforms to obtain, verify, and submit information.
- →Knowledge of asset identification and debt collection processes.
- →Skills required to conduct fact-finding and evaluate financial information.
- →Making determinations as to the appropriateness and cost effectiveness of pursing the obligation either by suit or proceedings subsequent to the entry of judgment to enforce collection.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
