What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Senior General Engineer in the Department of Navy, Low Observable/Counter Low Observable (LO/CLO) Policy, Technology and Advanced Projects.
- →You will direct the acquisition of the critical systems and related services for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
- →You will direct efforts towards ensuring that scientific discoveries and technological advances are investigated for possible development/exploration to determine applicability for future Naval programs.
- →You will review and identify new scientific and technological concepts and findings in their infancy and evaluate their relevance, feasibility and future applicability to DoN missions.
- →You will implement science and technology programs through the management and execution of individual projects and tasks.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
