About the Role
Nursing Assistants at this grade level function as a member of the nursing care team and assist licensed nursing staff in the care of patients/residents receiving preventive, acute, sub-acute chronic, maintenance, and hospice care.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to the following: Performs personal care, diagnostic support duties and treatments according to procedure under the direction of the professional nurse in a timely manner.
- →Responds to patient's nursing needs, including physical comfort, and emotional needs and recognizing deviations from the normal.
- →Will involve patients and family to participate in the provision of care throughout the continuum.
- →Participates and reinforces resources and referrals.
- →Completes assignments in a timely manner with constructive utilization of remaining time.
- →Organizes patient care assignments to meet the needs of the patients.
- →Participates in planning nursing care, recognizing changing needs, and prioritizing assignments.
- →Participation in the coordination of care and recommends resources and referrals.
- →Identifies changes in patient condition, both physical and emotional.
- →Reports these in a timely manner and initiates appropriate action.
- →Participates in Departmental meetings.
- →Reinforces patient and family teaching.
- →Clearly and accurately completes all necessary documentation.
- →Maintains a safe, clean, therapeutic environment and adheres to infection control guidelines.
