This position is assigned to the Revocation and Coordination Division, Office of Screening, Analysis, and Coordination, Visa Services Directorate, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/VO/SAC/RC). The incumbent responds to questions and inquiries regarding visa screening and vetting policies and processes, advocates for VO interests on visa screening cases, and coordinates and negotiates between NCTC and State Department on visa screening procedures and specific case outcomes.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the principal subject matter expert on all aspects of visa screening and vetting at the National Counterterrorism Center.
- →Provides guidance and recommendations to Department offices and to other members of the intelligence community, including interagency representatives on the National Counterterrorism Center and other counterterrorism entities.
- →Serves as a subject matter expert on the full range of policies and procedures affecting visa screening and vetting performed within the National Counterterrorism Center.
- →Plans, leads, and conducts in-depth studies and analyses of critical and emerging issues related to the interpretation and application of visa screening and vetting policies and procedures at the National Counterterrorism Center.
- →Reviews, advises, and consults with analysts and consular officers at overseas posts in the processing of visa applications and visa revocation requests flagged for security concerns.
