This is a DON Pathways Internship Program position. You will serve as a Student Trainee (AI/ML Research Program Support) in the Office of the ASN EI-E WASHINGTON DC (Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations, end Environment (OASN (E&IE). This internship is temporary not to exceed one year. This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants.
What You'll Do
- →As an Intern you will support senior officials in the Navy Secretariat using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools.
- →You will provide support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment which formulates Department-wide policies and procedures for Navy and Marine Corps energy.
- →You will support infrastructure sustainment, restoration and modernization; military construction; acquisition, utilization and disposal of real property and facilities.
- →You will support environmental protection, planning, restoration and natural resources conservation, and safety and occupational health.
- →You will assist in collecting and processing data, running established analytical models, and drafting components of reports and briefings.
- →You will work closely with team members to complete assigned tasks that contribute to larger projects.
- →You will assist senior analysts in conducting research projects by gathering, compiling, and organizing data from various sources.
- →You will assist in the preparation of research outputs by drafting sections of reports, creating basic charts and tables, and verifying factual information.
Requirements
- ✓All education beyond high school must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education; Applicants must possess: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education; OR Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.
