This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Service (PDS). The PDS is responsible for comprehensive portfolio management. This primary purpose of the position is to Supervise and manage program management staff, resources and activities for planning, program and project execution, monitoring and evaluation of major VA IT investments and initiatives.

- →Major Duties: Use managerial techniques and quantitative analysis, to monitor work in progress, and evaluate the status and progress of work accomplished in terms of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in achieving objectives.
- →Use knowledge of systems life cycle management concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate, and maintain information systems.
- →Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure appropriate interests are represented, functional requirements are included in analyses and designs, implements Government and industry best practices and tools within the assigned program areas, business practices are addressed and/or redesigned, and stakeholder feedback is incorporated.
- →Perform needs analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions.
- →Coordinates with senior agency leaders and technical personnel within OIT to ensure architecture is compliant with regulatory policies, communication, software standards and with user requirements.

- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Tour of duty may be subject to change based on organizational needs.
- →Compressed/Flexible: As determined by the Agency Policy Virtual: This is NOT a virtual position.
- →Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary and does not require any special physical effort.
- →Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site.
- →Employee may carry light items such as papers, books, and portable computer requirement.
