About the Role

This position is located within the Business Office and serves as the Community Care/Non-VA Care Supervisor. Incumbent performs assignments which have a recurring need for data gathering, analysis, and interpretation, or may perform work involving special projects, including planning, directing, and managing the integration of medical, administrative and clinical support.. ***The selectee will be required to live within 50 miles and work at of one of the eight VISN 19 Medical Centers***

What You'll Do

  • Duties include but are not limited to: Formulates recommendations for modifying, revising, or implementing procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations.
  • Applies a range and sequence of analytical steps appropriate for the assigned studies, or portions of studies, from planning through fact-finding to reporting results.
  • Analyses and evaluates the effectiveness of program operations in meeting the established goals and objectives of the designated office component.
  • Gathers and organizes information using established methods, techniques, and precedents such as questionnaires, interviews, review of databases, and comparisons of past, present, and related program functions.
  • Assists in and coordinates the preparation and submission of recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Conducts special studies to resolve administrative problems which arise in the course of normal operations and will present conclusions and recommendations regarding such.
  • Develops procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems.
  • Performs programs cost analysis projects, or performance or cost benefit or economic evaluations of programs.
  • Contributes and assists in attaining Health Administration Services goals and communicate with other and work as a team and provide good customer service.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s for the completion of all administrative processing of authorizations, scheduling, payments, appeals, reconciliation of authorizations, projecting funding needs, maintaining accurate and timely tracking and reporting procedures and customer service.
  • Assigns work to staff and provides technical and policy direction to their efforts.
  • Plans training and development with subordinate employees to assure they acquire and maintain both technical competencies in their fields and cross training in related fields Reviews completed work and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff.
