This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Wage and Hour Division (WHD). All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do
- →Coordinates the activities of the divisions within WHD's Office of Policy.
- →Collaborates in high-level discussions among top executive officials, internal and external to the Department.
- →Delivers presentations to conferences, associations, and group meetings and provides clarification with respect to projected, new, or revised WHD policies and programs.
- →Represents the Department and WHD with executive-level policy officials within and external to the Department to negotiate and coordinate program and policy issues.
- →Directs the provision of technical leadership, expertise, and program management across a broad spectrum of policy activities.
- →Coordinates the communication of WHD mission, goals, initiatives, and accomplishments nationwide as well as to the Department and other interested parties.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment Must be a U.S. citizen.
- ✓Must meet Executive Core Qualifications.
- ✓Must complete one year SES probationary period if not previously covered.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Appointment to this position may require a background investigation.
- ✓You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓If selected, the candidate must receive approval from OPM's Qualifications Review Board in order to be appointed to the SES.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓May be subject to pre-employment and random drug tests File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
- ✓Candidates must possess technical and management experience and have developed the knowledge and skills required for effective performance of the specific duties of the position.
- ✓Candidates must have had experience at a major management level (normally equivalent to the GS-15 level in the federal service).
