About the Role
This position provides financial advice and performs financial assistance work for VA Northern California Health Care System's sites. They perform budget work in support of all phases of budget administration.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include: Performs a variety of budgetary and administrative functions in implementing the VANCHCS's budgetary program, policies, and procedures.
- →Supports the primary Budget Analyst in budget formulation, execution, and analysis, as well as working closely with operating officials advising them regarding their budget responsibilities to ensure complete understanding and compliance with basic requirements.
- →Uses skill in reviewing historical financial data and analyzing trends for forecasting and/or validating budget estimates (i.e. patient programs, services, salaries, distribution of funds, etc.).
- →Resolves complex problems of forecasting which result from uncertainties or changes in the operating programs, and for determining the propriety of systems and methods used by NCHCS operating officials in developing estimates for funding requirements.
- →Uses oral and written communication skills in presentation of budgetary information/ strategies to Management Officials.
- →Enters budgetary data into a variety of forms, schedules, and reports for the budget at VANCHCS.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
