What You'll Do

  • We are looking for a senior IT Specialist who wants to do more than just manage systems-you will empower the teams who keep our region's lights on.
  • This unique role blends strategic leadership with expert technical problem-solving, giving you the autonomy to make a tangible impact on critical infrastructure across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
  • In this role, you will: Serve as a Strategic Leader: Shape the future of field operations by developing and directing IT services, support, and resource policies for a specialized technical division within our vital Transmission Business Line.
  • Act as a Trusted Consultant: Function as the primary technical consultant and trusted advisor to your assigned division, ensuring their unique technology requirements are expertly planned for and met.
  • Drive Innovative Problem-Solving: Use your creativity and initiative to tackle unprecedented technical challenges, developing new methods to solve the most complex and intricate IT issues that arise in the field.
  • Take Full Project Ownership: Independently plan and execute challenging IT projects from concept to completion across multiple field sites, enjoying a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Be a Technology Futurist: Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and system upgrades to solve critical business problems and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide High-Impact Troubleshooting: Serve as the senior technical analyst responsible for resolving the most complex client and system problems, ensuring minimal disruption to our essential business activities.
  • Mentor and Develop Talent: Elevate our team's capabilities by mentoring fellow IT professionals and acting as a subject matter expert, sharing your knowledge across all field locations.
  • Manage Key Relationships: Build and nurture critical partnerships with technical leads and field crews, serving as the vital communication link between IT and operations to ensure seamless collaboration.
