About the Role
The Laborer position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System in the Environmental Management Service (EMS).
What You'll Do
- →The Laborer is responsible for the manufacturing and placement of signage through the Long Beach VA.
- →Incumbent operates a computer to check equipment in and out and may perform maintenance on such equipment.
- →Position is responsible to ensure the proper installation of manufactured signs is correct and complete.
- →Must be able to interpret basic blueprint reading and understand sketch layout and written instructions as they pertain to signage locations and room identification markers.
- →Position maintains an adequate supply of signage throughout the facility.
- →Will assist as needed with event set ups, pickup and delivery of shred bins, ordering and stocking supplies in storage room.
- →Also, assist with Emergency Management in support of national disasters.
- →Must have a valid drivers license for transporting cardboard to recycling facility.
- →Must have basic computer skills to complete required trainings.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
