About the Role
About the Position: This position is located within the Preventive Medicine Department at Presidio of Monterey, Army Health Clinic, California This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Relocation incentive may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Provide Occupational Medicine nursing care and evaluation for Occupational Medicine beneficiaries to include military and federal civilian employees.
- →Perform occupational health screening test and procedures to meet the required medical surveillance for hazards encountered in the workplace.
- →Provide technical review, education and training for pulmonary function testing (PFT), visual acuity testing and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
- →Schedule and arrange immunization programs based on needs of population group served and applicable medical policies.
- →Perform independent targeted worksite surveys and industrial inspections to assess work practices that could pose a health or safety concern; educates supervisors and members regarding mitigation of those risks.
- →Educate members regarding job-related health hazards and communicates relationship of workplace hazards to hobbies and practices outside of the workplace that may impact health and safety on the job.
- →Prepare written reports, detailing findings, recommend corrective actions, and documentation of regulatory requirements.
- →Provide individualized instructions regarding diagnosis, treatment, work limitations and referrals.
