About the Role
As a Project Manager for Real Estate Sales (also known as Realty Specialist), you will perform a variety of management and disposal duties such as implement real property asset management and disposal strategies and actions. Location of position: PBS/Office of Real Property Disposition The Office of Real Property Disposition is responsible for the disposal of excess Federal real property. We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
What You'll Do
- →Reviews Reports of Excess; works with client agencies to obtain property information and complete Reports of Excess process.
- →Analyzes data submitted, determines accuracy of reports; makes recommendations for accepting or returning reports.
- →Develops disposal plans and strategies that may include exchange strategies and entering into leases or permits as appropriate.
- →Screens suitable and available property for use by homeless providers; conducts outreach seminars; meets with local community representatives, State officials, private citizens and representatives from other federal agencies, etc.
- →Prepares environmental assessments and complies with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to ensure all environmental and historical factors of significance have been considered in preparing the Disposal Plan.
- →Serves as focal point person on customer outreach and asset management opportunities; develops materials to facilitate utilization, customer outreach and customer service.
Requirements
- ✓If selected, you must meet the following conditions: Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
- ✓If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office.
- ✓Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
- ✓Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
- ✓Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level).
- ✓Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee.

- ✓Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
