As a Supervisory Program Manager, you will provide oversight of complex, evolving, and diverse functions and ensure organizational goals essential to the direction and operation of USCIS are achieved.
What You'll Do
- →Oversee the planning, direction, budget, resources, internal controls performance measures, and execution of a major programmatic and/or critical program for which the scope and effect have department or government wide impact.
- →Formulate, manage, and approve strategic objectives, priorities, and short and long term plans, goals, and objectives to meet agency's mission; capitalize on opportunities, as well as manages risks.
- →Direct all HR and EEO programs for subordinate employees to include: recruitment, selection, promotion, training, awards, discipline, and evaluating performance; practice sound position management in assigning work, determining position allocation.
- →Develop and determine innovative approaches to solve complex problems, internal controls, budget issues, and policy and procedures.
- →Manage, justify, propose, or negotiate projects/programs through briefings, presentations or meetings with stakeholders, high-ranking officials and top level management in order to build support, resolve issues, or respond to inquiries or complaints.
Requirements

- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position.
- ✓You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
- ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
