About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate, CBP Hiring Center located in the following locations: Bloomington, MN Minneapolis, MN Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

- →In this Lead Human Resources Specialist (Classification) GS-0201-13 you will play a pivotal role within the U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection Hiring Center, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant position classification and management across the agency.
- →This position directly supports organizational effectiveness by advising leadership, developing policies, and maintaining high standards for personnel programs essential to CBP's mission.
- →This position starts at a salary of $116,038.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $150,852.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

- →Typical duties include: Providing technical advice and guidance to Human Resources Specialist and Assistants on a variety of complex Classification problems.
- →Monitoring position management, position sensitivity, classification, and organizational management workload.
- →Providing advisory services to management and supervisors on extremely complex, sensitive, and controversial position classification issues.
- →Serving as the primary point of contact in the development, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- →Working with supervisors to advise on goals and objectives, analytical methods of review, and recommends project work schedules and timetables.
