About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate, CBP Hiring Center located in Bloomington, MN. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will serve as a Staffing Team Lead utilizing a variety of coordinating, coaching, training, facilitating, and planning techniques to assist the unit's supervisor with managing a team of Human Resources (HR) Specialists (Recruitment and Placement).This position starts at a salary of $116,038.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $150,852.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →In this Lead Human Resources Specialist (HR Development) position, you will serve as a key member of the Homeland Security team providing expert guidance on HR regulations, deliver training, and ensure quality assurance for HR recruitment services.
- →You will help maintain compliance, improve recruitment practices, and support HR staff development.
- →Typical work assignments include: Developing and delivering presentations on complex federal human resources policies, procedures, and regulatory updates to management, HR specialists, and other stakeholders.
- →Providing training and technical expertise in Federal recruitment and placement, including interpreting and applying HR laws, regulations, and policies.
- →Conducting quality assurance reviews of Human Resources personnel actions and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
- →Developing, implementing, and evaluating Human Resources Staffing training and quality assurance programs, including leading quality assurance activities and assessing training program effectiveness.
